Petite Loom
Petite Loom is a childrenswear label for ages 1 to 10, designed in Chicago and inspired by European heritage design. Our pieces are Peter Pan collars, hand-smocked dresses, braced shorts, tweed coats and cricket knits, made to be worn hard and handed down. Every order arrives in a keepsake box with The Petite Chronicles, an illustrated storybook written by our founder, so each season becomes a new chapter. Pieces range from $35 to $90 at petiteloom.com.

The founder
Sameen Rizvi
Sameen Rizvi founded Petite Loom after searching for clothes for her son that looked the way childhood feels. Fast fashion rarely lasted a season. The heirloom pieces she found were so stiff and fussy that he refused to wear them. So she designed her own: real craft, made for a child who actually plays in it. Sameen also writes The Petite Chronicles, the storybook series that arrives with every order. She is based in the Chicago area.
